Our Primary Mission

Twice a year (Back to School & Christmas), the Active 20-30 Club of Reno takes underprivileged children attending Title I elementary schools in the Reno/Sparks community to our local Kohl’s department store to purchase necessary items such as school uniforms, shoes, coats, backpacks and other school supplies to ensure these children have what they need to attend their schools and receive the kind of education that will help them succeed in life.

Nevada has been hit hard by the recession. It’s no secret. Our schools and communities need our help. More and more schools enter Title I status every year, and they’re not the only one’s struggling. Over the past few years we’ve been able to increase the number of children we can supply these necessary items to approximately 60 children per shopping spree, hitting every Ward in Reno. Our work is not done. We need funds and volunteers. If you’d like to help in sponsoring a child, please visit our Donate page. If you’d like to volunteer for future Shopping Sprees, please be sure to sign up to receive our Newsletter and we will send you information regarding how to volunteer.
